Way back in the day I lived and worked on farms in

Way back in the day I lived and worked on farms in Australia, growing vegetables and baking bread. It was in the period that #permaculture was beginning to take hold, and I was fortunate enough to be surrounded by people who had helped develop this process.
Unfortunately, large-scale industrial #farming was still the rage and I pursued a path of burning diesel and working with immense machinery 🤷🏼‍♂️
Fast forward 20 years, married, 2 children, living in the #paris region and searching for ways to reconnect with #gardens and introduce the children to a seasonal lifestyle.
A teeny-weeny patch of the gloomy garden was devoted to #hugelkultur and the children planted, peas, carrots, potatoes and whatever we found floating around the local garden shops. Delightful pea-picking and carrot-lifting followed by grubby hand-washing before naptime 🌱
A few years later in the #southoffrance , the kids again explored #permaculturegarden design with a day in the Vésubie valley.
This spring I’m hoping to fool around again with gardens, keep exploring what makes me tick, and feel the benefits of sharing a seasonal lifestyle 🍁🌿
